Volunteer
The Rotary Club of Westerville Sunrise is looking for volunteers to help with the Field of Heroes.
The event is run and organized by the Westerville Sunrise
Rotary Club and all funds are handled by the Westerville
Sunrise Foundation, a 501(c)(3) entity. The Field of Heroes is
a Community Outreach service project for the Westerville
Sunrise Rotary and not a fund raising effort. A partnership of
community organizations and businesses will come together to
underwrite some of the expenses of the event and any proceeds
will be given to the Westerville Parks Foundation to support
the completion of the First Responder Park which will showcase
a memorial to 911 by displaying a piece of steel from the Twin
Towers, Tower I.
The Westerville Sunrise Rotary has organized the Wendy's Chili Open for 15 years. As such, we know what it takes to for an event of this scale. In addition to the thousands of expected visitors who simply wish to walk amongst the flags, we will hold numerous events throughout the weekend. As the first field of its kind in Central Ohio, we believe the exposure will be significant. We hope your organization chooses to support this truly unique and inspiring event.
